On this day: May 13, 2013

On this day, May 13, 2013, Donald James Cornwallis, known as English Don, died. Don came to the USA from England as a drummer with Levi and the Rockcats, a rockabilly music group. Don joined forces with Steg (Axe Man) Von Heintz and the passion for music was out paced by the passion for motorcycles.

They formed S & D Cycles in Queens New York which grew quickly, and in a few years they opened Psycho Cycles in Manhattan, New York. Numerous magazine articles and covers soon followed.

The new shop was down the street from the Javits Center in New York and forming the Anti-Bikeshow Bikeshow at the same time the Javits Center had their bike show.

The Anti show would end up getting more press and attention than the big money show. Psycho Cycles gathered many new people that are now considered mainstays in the motorcycle world such as Paul Cox and the notable Indian Larry.

In fact Jesse James has been quoted as stating that what English Don, Steg and Larry were doing was what influenced him to start West Coast Choppers. When Larry become more well known, he ignored Don and Steg, the very folks who started the whole NYC chopper scene.

Along the way the combo and notably English Don racked up a series of magazine covers for Iron Horse, The Horse and Back Street Choppers magazines.

Don becomes ill and returns to England on and off returning to the US. Indian Larry takes over the shop and does the Biker Build Off show for Discovery Channel. Don films “Isle of Dogs” directed by Tami Sutton.

Don was born March 30, 1960 and passed away peacefully in his sleep in Mesa, Arizona on May 13/14, 2013.

Man Sentenced for Torching Outlaws MC's Clubhouse

Saginaw, Michigan (April 29, 2026) - A Saginaw County District Judge on Monday, April 27, sentenced Adrian A. Roseberry to nine months probation. While on probation, Roseberry is to continue attending therapy and must provide his agent with monthly proof of attendance. He is not to use alcohol or illicit drugs and must submit to regular testing.

The judge further ordered Roseberry to pay $525 in fines and costs within 120 days, plus a $30 monthly supervision fee. He gave Roseberry credit for 12 days served in jail.

The sentence in part resulted from Roseberry having “an almost nonexistent prior record,” the Judge said. “Hopefully, you can stick by these terms and abide by them as you’re supposed to,” the judge told Roseberry. “If you don’t, the alternative is 353 days in the Saginaw County Jail, obviously, a substantial amount of time.” No victims were present in the courtroom to give impact statements.

Roseberry in January pleaded no contest to one count of malicious destruction of a building between $200 and $1,000. The charge is a one-year misdemeanor.

David Allan Coe Sings Panheads Forever

Panheads Forever by David Allan Coe

She's hard to get started, she's always so cold
In the mornings, I find her, she's looking so old
There's so many miles, I've been down that road once or twice
Yes, she's not much to look at when we ride through town
But I know when the chips fall, she won't let me down
She knows how to run, and she don't run around on her man
She's a high-flying lady, she takes me where I wanna be
There's no other woman standing between her and me
And I'll always be faithful, and keep her 'til the end of time
God knows, I'll always love that old panhead of mine
I've seen fancy dressers, and they've caught my eye
I rode 'em to ride 'em, then I told them goodbye
I flirted with low riders, sportsters, and shovelheads too
And I cussed her and beat her, and kicked her
To just get her started a couple of times
And you might think, I'm crazy, but I love that Panhead of mine
She's a high-flying lady, she takes me where I wanna be
There's no other woman standing between her and me
And I'll always be faithful, and keep her 'til the end of time
And God knows, I'll always love that old panhead of mine
God knows, I'll always love
I don't know, in case you like George Dickel a little bit
Hm, anyway, maybe you remember this song
Uh, today they just re-released the movie that we did over 20 years ago
And this song was the title of the movie
So yeah, you're about to be seeing it on TV or somewhere soon, anyway
I wrote this song in the 1970s, and a friend of mine who's dying very quickly
In the hospital and I don't know how much longer he's gonna live
I wanna thank him personally for singing this song and making it a big hit
His name is Johnny Paycheck, John Austin Paychec

Outlaws MC member pleads guilty to federal charge of arson

Pensacola, Florida, USA (March 17, 2026) - Gregory E. Simonds Jr., of Pensacola, pleaded guilty in federal court to the charge of arson by means of an explosive causing personal injury. John P. Heekin, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Florida, announced the charge.

Court documents reflect that on February 15, 2025, during an altercation with a group of individuals associated with the Pagans Motorcycle Club in the parking lot of Emerald Coast Harley Davidson on Beal Parkway in Fort Walton Beach, the defendant set off an explosive that damaged the adjacent Jimmy John’s restaurant building and injured one of its employees.

Although the defendant drove away from the scene, he was quickly identified and arrested by law enforcement. In his car, officers recovered four more explosive devices, two guns, narcotics and drug paraphernalia, and an Outlaws Motorcycle Club vest that the defendant had been identified wearing during the incident.

During a subsequent search of his residence, federal agents seized additional explosive devices, explosive making material and equipment, and other evidence that the defendant was making and selling explosives. Simonds faces a mandatory minimum term of 7 years’ imprisonment, and up to a maximum term of 40 years’ imprisonment.

The case was the result of a joint investigation by the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, with assistance from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Alicia H. Forbes.

Simonds’s sentencing is scheduled for June 30, 2026, at 9:00 am at the United States District Courthouse in Pensacola before United States District Judge M. Casey Rodgers.
